IDC Volunteer of the Year Award

John W. Robertson

Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient

John W. Robertson, a partner with the Galesburg law firm of Statham, Long & Mitchell, LLC has been named the 2014 IDC Volunteer of the Year. Robertson was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the IDC, specifically as they relate to the development and delivery of the Statewide CLE programs in 2013.

“John displayed a vast array of legal knowledge over his years of service on the IDC Board of Directors – and an impressive sense of humor. I very much enjoyed serving with John on the Board, and was repeatedly struck by his experiences, expertise, and willingness to help out. John has been a regular advocate and volunteer on behalf of the IDC – it is just like John that after completing his Board of Directors service in June 2013, he immediately volunteered to Chair a Statewide CLE program designed to raise awareness of IDC and education in Illinois, and then coordinated it flawlessly in multiple cities throughout Illinois, from August through October, and indicated an interest in participating in future, similar statewide programs,” remarked IDC President Aleen Tiffany.

IDC Executive Director Sandra Wulf said “John’s devotion of time and energy to the Statewide CLE programs was fantastic. Where he saw a need, he filled it by providing an excellent educational event for members from all over the state. The Statewide CLE program was his project from start to finish. He is very deserving of recognition as the Volunteer of the Year for all of the work he put into bringing more CLE to our statewide members.”
